Medical Amnesty Policy

If you or a friend are in need of medical attention related to alcohol or drugs, call for help without risk of legal or conduct charges. Call University Policy at 973-655-5222.

Be a Friend. Make a Call. Save a Life!

Montclair State University seeks to remove barriers that prevent students from seeking the medical attention they need in emergency situations. Students who seek emergency medical attention for themselves or for whom medical assistance was sought related to consumption of alcohol and/or other drugs will not be charged with violations of the Montclair State University Code of Conduct associated with that consumption (specifically: Section II, Letter B.), provided they comply with specific conditions.
